Sprouts! is a small company that offers a line of customized greeting cards, all stationery products and unique gifts made from eco-friendly, plantable seed paper. In my capacity, I assist in sales, creative concept design, product branding and consumer education, customer order fulfillment, new business development and general office support. This is a new work environment for me that utilizes my well-honed skills of customer advocacy, attention to detail, time and organizational management, and a sense of urgency! I am excited to learn our product line, sharpen my sales and marketing skills, and help to not only provide excellent customer service to our current customers, but to expand our customer base through social media outreach and participation in community-based activities and business networking opportunities. Support of the South Florida Marketing Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing in all aspects: customer advocacy & resolution, time-keeping & payroll, sales commission processing for three divisions state-wide; maintain department vacation & activities calendars; maintain office supplies; member of Marketing Events Planning Team. As the company merged with Chesapeake Utilities in 2009, position evolved into the Marketing Media & Channel Coordinator: work closely with advertising Agency of Record (AOR) to develop, edit, review and release for placement all brand advertising & Energy Conservation Program messaging, customer bill inserts, mandated gas & safety public awareness communications for natural gas, propane & electric divisions across the state of Florida. Key stakeholder in preparation of annual budget, oversight with accounting analyst to ensure expenses were controlled within budget guidelines. Ordered & disseminated branded promotional items for events, charitable sponsorships, community outreach, and networking activities enterprise-wide. Processed associated invoices in corporate A/P system for corporate communications, PSC-monitored Energy Conservation Program expenditures, utility public awareness programs, sales & marketing advertising, event sponsorships, promotional items and materials, executive corporate gifts, etc.Notable accomplishments: Appointed two weeks before event as On-Site Coordinator for company's Energy for Life Pavilion at Palm Beach Home & Garden Show, Oct 19-21, 2007, soliciting outside vendor guests, ensuring booth was adequately manned, executing set-up/tear-down of two 1400 sq. ft. display areas. Working closely with AOR, Safety and Gas Operations SMEs revitalized Gas Safety Public Awareness Program through multi-media exposure and public sector communications across our serviced communities. Creative Team Member in complete overhaul of company website and initial launch of Social Media presence.

Managed daily operations to meet organizational goals and objectives. Directly supervised Office Mgr/HR Rep, 2 Education Program Managers, and the IT Manager. Directed all activities of volunteer consultants. Prepared and presented Financial Statements for monthly Board of Directors Meetings; acted as staff liaison to both Finance and Education Committees. Responsible for direct expansion and penetration of after-school marketing initiatives with Palm Beach County schools and community/social service organizations. Responsible for direct budgetary projections for daily operations, and indirect budgetary projections for Fund Raising/Development campaigns and special events. Developed new Employee Performance Appraisal documents, executing new process upon approval of Board Chairman. Resigned position to travel to southeast Idaho to assist elderly parents and then returning to be the kidney donor for my brother in Sep 2006. I moved back to south Florida in Feb 2007.

For 20 years I managed adult learning and career enhancement programs, on-the-job training and education programs at all levels; field unit, regional, and national Program Manager. I am formally trained and certified in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and Train-the-Trainer Instructor certified. I was a DANTES Test Control Officer and certified test examiner for independent study college courses, and college credit-awarding tests. I was the Subject Matter Expert for Logistics Training for the Inspector General's (IG) compliance-based assessments, authoring the check-list and conducting the assessments of 48 Wings spread across the nation, as an augmentee with the IG team. Developed and interpreted national policy and procedures specific to the Air Force Reserve Command. Also, held several base/field unit-level and national-level additional duty positions in the area of EEOC and Special Emphasis Programs. I aquired valuable labor-management experience with negotiating bargaining unit agreement and processing grievances to Arbitration. I retired from the Air Force Reserve in May of 2005 as a Senior NCO (E-8), leaving 23 years of federal government service. It's hard to capture over 20 years of your professional life in this space, so I hope I hit on the key points effectively!
