First in-house development for tracking professional development (certificated). First in-house developed geographic information system. Other work experience: – 1989-2004 (various cities, states, countries)Acquired an extensive background in project and people management and success with large corporations applying industry standards for best practices for software development, requirements gathering, risk management, change management, quality assurance, testing, documentation, and training.• Worked in the telecommunications industry overseeing consultants developing a new system using object oriented technology, a fourth generation language. Formed strong, positive relationships with various functional user departments. The success of the project led to travel to two states in order to implement the system in those locations.• Worked with a large airline on various projects in crew yield management. Development was in third generation languages (COBOL II), including DB2, Structured Query Language (SQL) and Job Control Language (JCL). The success of these projects led to overseas and national travel to support them.• Worked with a large automobile maker on a new plant start-up in Western Europe. Brought in the first network for that plant, including new hardware, software, and telecommunications. Established relationships with vendors in order to keep the project on time and on budget. • Teaching of Information Technology courses that involve analysis, business processes, project management, data mining, logic and problem solving, database development and more, at several colleges and universities including: Alverno College, Mount Mary University, Cardinal Stritch University, St. Mary University (MN), St. Paul Technical College, Minneapolis County Technical College. Thoroughly enjoy teaching. Have received high evaluations from students and peers for teaching throughout career.

Consultant on large scale new software development project utilizing object oriented technology for what was then HDSL and DSL technology. This project required travel to Phoenix location to train technicians on the use of the software. This project engaged the full software lifecycle development. The toolset used for the administration of the project was MS Project.This large-scale project involved new development for the organization using SmallTalk, an object oriented software, with an Oracle back-end. Process flows (swim lanes) were necessary (MS Visio) to communicate among the various departments within the organization as to accuracy and accountability of functions. Rational Rose was used as a testing tool, and Rational was used as our versioning toolset. Review of documentation of technical writer, and then training of technicians in the Twin Cities as well as Phoenix so that high speed Internet orders could be successfully handled. Team size was approximately 33 people, which included a combination of consultants and employees. Consultants were from various backgrounds and countries, which created a pleasant and diverse work environment.
