This was a business owned and operated by myself and my husband. Our handmade instrument store specialized in representing independent luthiers. We also did restorations and repairs, as well as lessons. We provided the standard fare of retail products (strings, kypos, etc.) as well as handmade guitar themed gift items. I was responsible for the day-to-day operations, bookkeeping, web design & maintenance, and marketing/advertising. My husband did all repairs, lessons and built custom guitars. The store closed when my husband's right hand had a close encounter with a saw.

The church administrator took ill suddenly and I stepped in and ran the office with no loss of continuity.

When I started this position, the church was in the process of calling a pastor, so I was completely responsible for all aspects of running the church except bill paying (and pastoring). When I left the position, we had successfully called a pastor, whom I helped transition into her new job. She is still pastor there.

Developing sources of international financing to produce a film which Len Beard & I co-wrote. Contacts included the Irish Film Fund, a representative of the Burmese royal family, a representative of the British royal family, British television, Hollywood producers.

Responsible for new product line (back office system for ophthalmologists). Developed a five year product plan, released software updates, created for-profit training programs, implemented sales and marketing strategies which resulted in a 65% annual sales increase.
