About Sharon Hopper
At my root, I will always be an educator. I strive to bring high quality professional learning to teachers everywhere in order to impact the outcomes for all students. I may have started by teaching children, but now have found designing learning materials and teaching adults to be equally as impactful. I have worked in professional development, content development, content editing, product development, and partnership development for a number of years. Working to make professional learning and high quality educational materials to support best practices in the classroom is a way for me to increase my sphere of influence in educational pedagogy, while still staying true to the educator inside me.I have honed skills for delivering professional learning from increasing engagement during traditional slide presentations, to building asynchronous courses in a learning management systems. Most recently I have worked on product development for 3 new products from either acquisition or initial development through the marketing, editing, and release for sale. I am able to leverage my experiences as a teacher, district administrator, and consultant to understand the unique needs of the wide variety of people impacted by educational materials. I developed and refined professional learning materials for 95 Percent Group and led the revision of Deb Glaser's Top 10 Tools. This most recent project along with several others at 95 Percent Group were opportunities to bring professional learning for teachers into an asynchronous environment pairing my love for literacy with my newly honed skills in LMS and designing online instruction.
