I have been a student of and investor in some of the best public and private companies globally for over 20 years.Learning how to invest in long term excellent businesses left a lasting impression on me. I grew up learning from a Warren Buffet caliber investor who never talked to the press- Frank Sands, Sr. His way of investing made so much sense - long-term investing with a focused portfolio. And reasonable valuations. We looked for great businesses first.While investing in the best public companies on the planet, we also built out a growth company. Sands Capital grew 30X+ from $1.5 bil to $50 bil in assets under management over my 15 years at the firm from 2002-2017.
