Install and maintain the Oracle Enterprise Manager that monitors all database targets. Converted single node sports database running on Solaris to a 4 node RAC cluster running OEL4 on Linux. Responsible for the cluster, ASM and database installation and setup. Developed the migration plan and timeline which was completed in under the predicted time. Participated in extensive load testing to simulate peak times.

Responsible for supporting many applications such as PeopleSoft, EBusiness, Retek, Agility, JDA and Cognos in Oracle 10g and 9i using ASM, file systems and RAC. Handled backup and recovery and performance tuning and monitoring using statspack, TKPROF, Grid Control, ADDM, Explain Plan and AWR. Perform installation, upgrades and patching database servers. Document and create checklists for all procedures.Completed several new server and database builds. Installing CRS, ASM and database instances also converted several single instance databases to RAC.Successfully completed a PeopleSoft migration from DB2 to Oracle as well as an upgrade from version 7.5 to 8.0 of Peoplesoft. Moved 80 GB of data from DB2 to Oracle using the Oracle DRDA gateway and database links. Fine tuned the conversion and upgrade process all to be completed within a 36 hr window.Worked on Oracle E-business implementation involving 36 instances, 2 to 10 node RAC’s, 10+ TB databases. Developed the design and implementation of a warehouse management system. Responsible for designing and modeling the database. Successfully completed a PeopleSoft migration from Oracle to DB2 as well as an upgrade from version 7.0 to 7.5 of Peoplesoft. Moved 30 GB of data from Unix to OS/390 as well as the creation of all objects.
