I am a Veteran, served in the U.S Army for ten years. I received numerous awards and accommodations, received an honorable discharge in 1999. I used my G. bill to put myself through school, and I earned my BS Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, May of 2005. The two areas of study being Elementary Education and Special Education. Alumni of Cameron University, Lawton, Oklahoma. I immediately received a position as an English Resource Teacher at Nimitz Junior High in Odessa, Texas, in September 2005. I am a single mother of three exceptional and talented children, ages 28, 26, and 14 years—a grandmother of a 2-year-old granddaughter and newly arrived grandson. I have attended Saint Anthony's Catholic Church in Novato, California, for over 15 years. I am a newly appointed advancement chair in my son's Boy Scout Troop, in association with BSA Marin County. My children and I moved back to my hometown of Novato, California, in February 2006. I am seeking permanent work that offers career opportunities and benefits. I work well with people and am gifted in adapting to new situations with ease. I am a very committed worker. I believe in an honest day's work. I put in 110% work effort every day, even when not getting paid for it. I believe a person should enjoy one's work and I love working with people of all ages. We live in an era of adversity; I want to be an example of one that models diversity.I am currently on a quest to receive a Preliminary Special Education Teaching Credential at Sonoma State University, pending a Masters's degree in English. I have been tinkering on a Memoir. My life has been exceptional, and I want to share this in a Published work.
