The Michigan Developmental Disabilities Institute (MI-DDI) is the state of Michigan’s University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) and is part of a national network dedicated to the development of inclusive communities, the enhancement of the quality of life of people with disabilities, and the enrichment of the field of disability research and service.

Report to Senior Vice President of Community Health, Equity and Wellness. Lead all business operations of health system's Center of Excellence to optimize the health and well-being of Henry Ford employees, patients, and community members.•Identified and aligned over 100 fragmented initiatives across the organization to create business case for an integrated Center of Excellence on wellness•Manage Center budget leading to successful development and implementation of innovative product lines •Serve as thought leader on mind/body/spirit integration for employee engagement, total health and well-being•Manage communications strategy resulting in strong, positive, brand recognition for LiveWell

•Led, designed and implemented programming on tobacco cessation, health screening, and adult vaccinations•Hired, trained, and supervise center staff of 15 to improve on-boarding process and reduce turnover

•Led wellness research agenda with focus on tobacco cessation and obesity prevention •Published >35 peer-reviewed manuscripts disseminating research findings

•Obtained and managed grant funding expanding the disability research knowledge base in areas of aging, violence, cultural competency, health promotion, self-determination and disability rights•Created and directed summer study abroad program to 30+ students in France and Spain expanding their understanding of cross-cultural/global perspectives on disability

•Designed and conducted formative and summative evaluations for dozens of non-profit organizations using a stakeholder approach to provide customers with recommendations and tools that would be most practical and useful to achieve their desired outcomes

•Received prestigious NIH Career Development Award ($500K) expanding knowledge base on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and substance use disorders•Led team of 10 research assistants
