- Dispatch truckload, LTL and inter-modal shipments from vendor and port locations.- Communicates with motor carriers on service issues, commitment, and responsiveness.- Complete the daily routing process to accomplish the highest transportation service level at the lowest possible cost through correct carrier selection.- Identify areas of opportunity to cut cost without jeopardizing service.- Resolve service failures and help implement process for continual improvement.

- Train and instruct employees in job duties and company policies or arrange for training to be provided.- Lead physical inventories and warehouse consolidation / re-location for warehouses in region as well as other regions when necessary.- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.- Review records and reports pertaining to activities such as production, receiving, and shipping to verify details, monitor work activities, and evaluate performance.

- Analyze and monitor sales records, trends and economic conditions to anticipate consumer buying patterns and determine what the company will sell and how much inventory is needed.- Negotiate prices, discount terms and transportation arrangements for merchandise.- Inspect merchandise or products to determine value or yield.- Interview and work closely with vendors to obtain and develop desired products.

- Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.- Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.- Prepare merchandise for display, or for purchase.- Reconcile daily cash reports.
