Brentwood And Pacific Palisades

-Work with neighborhood stakeholders in Pacific Palisades and Brentwood to help build consensus around projects and issues, where there are a variety of differing opinions- Work as a community organizer with responsibility for building grassroots support for an initiative and/or project-Represent the councilman to a group of community stakeholders- responsible to effectively communicate a public narrative.-Write comprehensive briefing memos for the Councilmember analyzing background, issues, stakeholder opinions, political implications, and making recommendations or developing a plan for action, including developing talking points-Track district priorities as identified by the Councilmember, recommending strategies for achieving those priorities, and executing a plan-Community organizing, engaging and mobilizing constituents in the the 11th District communities of Brentwood and Pacific Palisades

-Responsible for constituent services and case management for the greater Hollywood area; working with adjacent council districts and municipalities when applicable-Worked with neighborhood and business leadership groups and city departments (homeowner’s associations, neighborhood councils, business improvement districts, local chambers of commerce) to improve the quality of life, government accountability and establish public policy reflective of need-Worked with local non-profit organizations in the Hollywood area to increase private/ public partnerships-Attended community and public meetings on behalf of the councilman- comfortable in public speaking and communication roles-Active in homeless outreach and community service projects -Worked with various city departments to bring capital improvements to the Hollywood area; medians, improved park facilities, improved street and road infrastructure, etc.-Organized district-wide events

-Worked with homeless service providers for improved homeless outreach and service for the Hollywood area -Worked with LAHSA in partnership of those that were chronically and veteran homeless in the Hollywood area. Permanent supportive and transitional housing projects were then created, reflected of the need in Hollywood-Part of founding groups of Hollywood 4WRD- network of homeless service providers, and governmental organizations for homeless advocacy in Hollywood -Worked with constituents for case assistance with the Los Angeles Housing Department; affordable housing, Rent Stabilization Ordinance and permanent supportive housing
