The Catalyst for Wellness in Community apprenticeship program is a growing behavioral health apprenticeship program currently in the pilot phase. Apprentices accepted into the program are placed with youth service providers that offer a range of services to system-involved children, youth and families.The California Alliance of Child and Family Services and the Catalyst Center serve a statewide network of professionals and collaborate with advocates, community-based service programs, national and state organizations, legal, health, and mental health professionals, researchers, and advocates from social justice organizations working to support the health and wellbeing of children and families. Teaching Education 2: Introduction to Education. This course introduces students to the concepts and issues related to teaching diverse learners in today’s contemporary schools.

Collaborate with Butte and Glenn County high school Career Technical Education (CTE) programs to support pathway alignment with Butte-Glenn Community College and labor market needs. Work with workforce development stakeholders to engage employers and industry representatives with the intent of building and strengthening K14 pathways that respond to industry needs and facilitating industry connections with K–14 career technical education programs.

Assist all Butte County school districts in certificated assignment monitoring and application processing. Maintain Education Code Compliance regarding state certifications. Evaluates transcripts and other documentation to determine eligibility for credentials,permits or certificates as required by the CA Commission on TeacherCredentialing. Administers fingerprint processes on substitute teacher applicants and monitor background information for statewide compliance. Provide information and technical support to school districts and their certificated staff with regard to credentialing laws, and requirements. Monitors certificated assignments of school district and County Office personnel to ensure that positions are legally staffed according to California Ed Code.

Locally elected public official entrusted with governing the Oroville City Elementary School District. Ensures that the district is responsive to the values, beliefs and priorities of our community. Assist in establishing the vision and goals for the district and setting standards for school performance in addition to standards for the Superintendent. Primary focus is advocating for students and their parents to receive the best educational experience possible.

Provide outreach and orientation to Butte County residents applying to participate in Workforce Investment Act programs.Provide assistance to job seekers and businesses to determine program eligibility with a high degree of precision and accuracy.

• Manage organizational staffing plan for local campus personnel o Recruit, train, and supervise local Enrollment Counselor and Student Services Coordinator teams o Maintain compliance with Federal, State and corporate employment policies and procedures • Manage campus student recruitment processes and admissions activities • Develop staff skills and coach employees and maximize productivity • Collaborate with university students, faculty, leaders and administrators to support campus objectives • Manage local campus operational compliance activities and facilities

• Facilitate and Present healthy lifestyle strategies and support to large and small groups (5-100 participants).• Provide Individual consultations to assist members in the development of motivational strategies for long-term success.• Coordinate all location support tasks, including merchandising and inventory control.• Recruit, train and support successful candidates for staff positions.

• Advise and assist K-12 educators in selecting international studies resources to create diversified curriculum.• Design and produce eye-catching flyers and brochures to recruit K-12 educators for workshops and events.• Efficiently manage statistical data and prepare analytical reports for the California International Studies Project.• Collaborate with University staff and faculty to acquire high quality resources for educational projects.

Oroville Area Stay in School (OASIS) Project, Drug Suppression (DSOS) Project• Interview, assess, and develop successful goal-planning strategies with 7-12th grade at-risk students.• Counsel individual at-risk youth and small groups to assist in overcoming challenges to foster personal success.• Facilitate life-skills and alcohol, tobacco and other drug (ATOD) classes for large and small groups of high school students.• Implement and coordinate Peer Counseling, Conflict Management and Mentor programs for secondary students.
