The Catalyst for Wellness in Community apprenticeship program is a growing behavioral health apprenticeship program currently in the pilot phase. Apprentices accepted into the program are placed with youth service providers that offer a range of services to system-involved children, youth and families.The California Alliance of Child and Family Services and the Catalyst Center serve a statewide network of professionals and collaborate with advocates, community-based service programs, national and state organizations, legal, health, and mental health professionals, researchers, and advocates from social justice organizations working to support the health and wellbeing of children and families. Evaluates transcripts and other documentation to determine eligibility for credentials,permits or certificates as required by the CA Commission on TeacherCredentialing. Administers fingerprint processes on substitute teacher applicants and monitor background information for statewide compliance. Provide information and technical support to school districts and their certificated staff with regard to credentialing laws, and requirements.
