CurrentReporting directly to the Chief Programming Executive and General Manager of PBS KIDS & Education, serve as thought leader in the development and management of strategic plans to drive dynamic initiatives at the intersection of media disruption, technology, education, equity, and access with operational practices, execution, and measurable outcomes for impact.- Administer budgets, HR partnerships, business reviews, and annual planning for department operations while providing leadership in shifting the focus from linear to digital and engaging consumers on new platforms. - Partner extensively with PBS Foundation in setting strategic priorities and seeking philanthropic support.- Create strategy to grow program reach, increasing to 16 million views on local stations and 13.6 monthly digital users. - Managed launch of dozens of new shows, including two new offerings in 2021: Elinor Wonders Why, a science series for children ages 3-5, and Donkey Hodie, a puppet series focused on teaching social-emotional skills to preschool children. - Led team in developing a special hosted by Inaugural poet Amanda Gorman, “PBS KIDS Talk About Race and Racism,” featuring real kids and parents sharing their experience regarding race and justice along with clips from PBS KIDS series. - Coordinated the development of PBS KIDS & Education’s strategy to leverage media to improve learning outcomes for America’s children, connecting opportunities across PBS KIDS Digital, Programming, Education and Marketing business units. In 2020, PBS KIDS video content was streamed 4.71 billion times, a 32% increase over the previous year.
