My focus was the health and safety compliance of all HDWE buildings across the 92-acre estate located in Marylebone in London. I started with AMEC FW in 2010 as the office manager for a small department. During this time I was given health and safety responsibilities and undertook numerous training courses, including a work funded Master’s degree in order to further my career as an HSE professional. In 2014 my role changed to HSSE Advisor for Clean Energy, a wider business unit of the company, totaling two thousand people. I was responsible for the co-ordination of the activities required to meet HSSE standards and achieve a high level of HSSE management that protected the staff, sub-contractors, visitors and clients by ensuring that risk in the workplace was properly controlled and that any impact on the environment was minimised.
