While ‘Life is a marathon; not a sprint’ is, of course, a well worn cliché it applies well in the context of a career. I am a runner. Any single job or race is but a small part of the process of being a professional or a runner. The goal isn’t to win, it is to keep growing, learning and running.I have broad experience in the legislative and federal branches of government, the private sector and educational institutions. I have served in several roles: a researcher, writer, a program analyst, an evaluator, a communicator, an editor, a data base designer and website curator. I enjoy developing new processes particularly in environments where none existed previously. If I see a more efficient way of doing something, I do it. If I see a problem, I fix it. Creative problem solving and a desire to add value motivate me.I am an unrepentant, energetic, results-driven morning person. Program and project development and coordination, cross-organizational and multidisciplinary collaboration, communications, data collection, analysis, and reporting have been constants in my professional life.In every role, developing relationships through authentic communication and follow through have been the key to success. By strategically connecting people and ideas, I have successfully developed teams and programs. I am most fulfilled when I bring diverse and even disparate groups to collaborate toward a common goal and inspire others to succeed.
