As a teacher of Design, I am currently Second in Design at Latymer Upper School and am also co-editor of the school magazine, The Latymerian. I am a sixth form tutor, and have a strong interest in curriculum reform and am part of both a working party for the development of new long courses to replace GCSEs within my school, and the Academic Policy Committee. I am also an artist-printmaker and a graduate of the Royal College of Art (2013) where I studied for an MA in Printmaking. The websites I worked on included over eleven for the Scottish Government and its various initiatives (such as transportscotland.gov.uk). I was regularly involved from planning through to launch and beyond, which frequently required direct client liaison. My role involved being able to use the bespoke content management systems built by the company and a variety of other software. Through Civic I worked on a huge range of online and offline public sector, commercial and B2B projects.

This included researching and writing articles and information pages, populating the ‘news’ page, sourcing & editing images, writing and sending out a newsletter, scheduled tasks such as link checking, site statistics and monthly reports to the client. I also attended quarterly meetings at the Scottish Enterprise headquarters and maintained weekly phone contact with the client.

Web EditorRun Deep Apr 2001 - Jul 2003Initially joining the company as PR Co-ordinator, I moved into the position of Web Editor within a few months when the opportunity arose. As one of two full time web editors working at Run Deep I had a lively schedule creating content plans, doing research, writing content, inputting content, proofreading and editing for various clients including Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Further Education Unit, Association of Scottish Colleges, Arran Aromatics, Entrepreneurial Exchange, Stevenson College, Global Companies and more. Much of my work during this time involved direct contact with the client both face to face and via email and telephone.
