"This Girl Has Plans!" Developed and instructed the first offering of Women's Leadership Academy: Setting Your Future Direction in STEM. The program is a catalyst to train and prepare young women to set goals for students and careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). In Frontiers II, 2013, young women from New England, Taiwan, Switzerland, Colorado, and Puerto Rico, discovered their dreams and destiny for college plans through goal setting and exploring career plans in STEM. Using structured exercises, the young women created a foundation for ways to select college majors, create their future career goals, develop a personal compass based on the habits of successful people, and learn financial literacy, time management, and communication skills. The young women practiced professional networking as they met WPI Students, WPI Alumni, serial entrepreneurs, WPI Professors/Staff, and/or corporate professionals who currently have a career in STEM. The program concluded on day 10 of the program with a group video and poster presentations of each young women's future direction in STEM.

As Board Member, supported the mission of NB Star Kids Scholarship Program to provide educational opportunities in the form of tuition aid to effective non-public schools, uniforms, after-school and summer programs, tutoring, and mentoring for those high risk, low-income children who have a parent with a history of incarceration and/or substance abuse. Star Kids' goal for each child is to graduate from high school. By completing high school and hopefully, going on to higher education, these children will have a greater chance of breaking the intergenerational cycle of poverty, drug use, disease, depression and violence.
