I worked a second term for Honda Development and Manufacturing of America (previously American Honda Motor Co.). This semester I worked as systems engineer as part of a team that wrote software and maintained devices to test each vehicle before it came off the line. I designed and implemented several new ways of tracking daily outcomes and failures. I was able to automate processes that were previously done manually. I was nominated for a second time for "Co-op of the Term" out of over three-hundred potential students.

During my first rotation at Honda Development and Manufacturing of America I worked in the Aluminum Machining department. I worked on many projects for my line, most of which revolved around writing and implementing PLC logic, AI vision software, CAD design, and working with production staff to find ways I could make their jobs easier as an engineer. My top achievements were developing a solution that saved my line upwards of $100,000 and being nominated by my peers for the title of Co-op of the Term out of over one-hundred other potential candidates.

Here I helped verify bug fixes in new releases as well as make internal software more efficient for higher ups. I worked at NLign both as a high school summer intern where I preformed small tasks around the office. For example, I spent time updating the website and icons for the company's software to meet their new color palette. My second time at the company was as a single rotation Co-Op working primarily in software development. During this time I learned Batch Script, C#, Git Bash, and Jenkins Pipeline Script, all of which I was previously unfamiliar with. I was able to learn to navigate working remotely. This gave me more experience advocating for myself and finding my own solutions.

I worked as a summer camp counselor for middle school aged children with disabilities. Here I had to be constantly vigilant and flexible, willing to make any modifications to an activity so that each individual could have just as enjoyable of a Summer as their peers. Here I learned valuable communication skills, ranging from having conversations with individuals who do not use speech to communicate to writing incident reports.
