- Collaborated with on- and off-campus partners to enhance the student experience of more than 120 Harvey, Boettcher, Daniels Fund, and Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) Scholars.- Advised and mentored above Scholars in matters of personal and professional development, leadership, academics, and service, including weekly guidance of student leadership team of Harvey Scholars, Mines' flagship scholarship program.- Facilitated programmatic components of Scholar experiences such as orientation, social events, and in the case of the Harvey Scholars a monthly donor-attended luncheon, throughout each academic year.- Worked closely with the Mines Foundation to maintain faithful execution of donor intent, steward donor relations with the university and Scholars, and manage $70,000 annual operating budget.- Streamlined the Harvey Scholar supplemental grant proposal process to exceed relevant standards for fiscal accountability, travel liability, and financial aid reporting while reducing bureaucratic hurdles and improving access to funds for Scholars.- Continued to enhance the student-run Harvey Scholar application and selection process, resulting in 60 Scholars reading 950 applications, conducting 45 interviews, and recommending 16 candidates for awards to Admissions.

Coors Distinguished Prof. and Endowed Chair of Ceramics.• Conducted research towards understanding the effect of NiO on grain growth kinetics in yittria-stabilized zirconia.• Spent summer 2012 at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, India as a research intern to continue the above research; served as a student and cultural ambassador, creating professional and personal contacts.• Worked in conjunction with PhD student on transparent spinel, particularly characterizing optical properties via Ramen, TEM, photospectrometer and ellipsometer analysis.• Gained hands-on exposure to powder synthesis, green-body preparation, sintering, kinetics (grain growth and diffusion), morphology, and characterization.
