I'm excited to contribute something meaningful and helpful to the world.I am currently a software engineer and product owner for Aptiv in Carmel, Indiana. Aptiv is an automotive supplier and software company. I work in a group that is primarily focused on advanced development of radar software. I fulfill two main job responsibilities in my current role. First, I integrate our proprietary tracker algorithm into the embedded software of the different radar variants we develop. Second, I maintain and update various tools for data parsing, analysis, and visualization. Many colleagues across multiple teams use my data parsing scripts.I previously completed three summer internships with Aptiv. In 2018, I was part of a systems engineering team testing car radio software in Troy, Michigan. In 2019, I was in Kokomo, Indiana, working on MATLAB scripts to automatically analyze huge amounts of vehicle testing data. This increased the speed at which the data can be understood and thus the value of the data. Finally, in 2020, the internship work I completed was similar to 2019, but I worked remotely from West Lafayette, Indiana, to support the Troy, Michigan office. I learned a lot about persevering in those hard times.I have also delivered sandwiches for Jimmy John's, worked at Steak n' Shake, and been a lifeguard at Kokomo Beach.I have experience in several coding languages and technologies. Today, I primarily work with C/C++, Bazel, and MATLAB. Additionally, I apply agile development practices every day in my work. I have listed other skills I have experience with on my profile. In 2021, I graduated with distinction and a 3.94 GPA from Purdue University with my bachelor's in Computer Science. Along with my degree, I completed specializations in Software Engineering and Machine Intelligence and a minor in Mathematics.I completed classes on a varied collection of computer science subjects. These include Algorithm Analysis, Software Testing, Data Mining and Machine Learning, Intro to AI, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, Systems Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Computer Architecture, Foundations of Computer Science, Compilers, and Information Systems.I participated in a couple computer science clubs to help build skills and confidence, advocated for Purdue's College of Science as an ambassador, and worked with a Mojang mentor in my senior capstone project to research ways to improve Minecraft: Bedrock Edition's save system.
