Argos acquired Venga Global in Oct 2021

In January 2021 I started a localization industry podcast with my colleague, Antoine Rey. I built and manage the website, branding, and social presence. I produce and market each new episode using tools such as GarageBand, Camtasia, SquadCast, and Buzzsprout. I also host episodes for our guests in the PST time zone.

As Senior Marketing Manager at Venga Global, I was responsible for influencing marketing strategy and budgets, increasing brand recognition, and improving the company's thought leadership. This is in addition to the management of all marketing-related activities and initiatives such as website and service launches, event planning, content strategy, collateral creation, tracking, and metrics. I reported to the CSMO, and managed an internal team for lead generation, research, and the support function for the sales team. As Marketing Manager at Venga Global, I managed all the day-to-day aspects of marketing such as website and service launches, event planning, content strategy, collateral creation, tracking, and metrics. I reported to the CSMO, managed a team of freelance creatives and specialists, and worked closely with our production and engineering teams.

In this position, I took on a managerial role of organizing and actuating event logistics, collateral creation, sales and marketing metrics, blog and social media, SEO, marketing budget, and other client and employee appreciation related tasks.

During this internship I worked on Blog and Social Media strategy and implementation, developing and analyzing marketing goals and metrics, and market research. Some of the tools I used included, HubSpot, Salesforce, and Google Analytics. This was a part-time position I pursued while completing my MBA.

I took this position while pursuing my MBA. This job included internet research in various areas relating to the fields of healthcare, advocacy, and disabilities. I also wrote articles for the various newsletters and publications that the foundation puts out.

I worked as an International Relations Expert at Kirishima City Hall in Japan for three years. There, I not only tackled interpretation and translation work, I also designed and implemented classes on international topics. I completed all aspects of event/course proposal, logistical preparation, advertising, and facilitation. I expanded the courses offered from two to six and set a trend of proactive community outreach that has continued beyond my tenure. Two of the highlights of my time in Kirishima were serving as the English speaking representative for the Mayor with the visiting Chief Minister of Melaka, Malaysia, and traveling to Jeju, Korea as part of a team to promote Kirishima National Geopark at the 2013 Asia-Pacific Geopark Network Symposium.

After returning from China, I had about half a year before I left for my next job in Japan. To fill this gap, I took a six month position at the local fire department. In this job I managed a multi-line phone system, directed walk-ins, issued burn permits, researched and gave out information to insurance companies about protection classes, and designed a new filing system.

After graduation from university, I worked in Zhuhai, China, at United International College as a Business English Instructor. In this position, I created lesson plans and facilitated a lively classroom environment. I was promoted within six months and given the responsibility of teaching writing workshops for hundreds of senior students.

I gained administrative skills during my part-time employment at the Nano Technology Department of UC Santa Barbara. I was responsible for purchasing supplies, data entry, contacting potential program participants, and event logistics. The week after I was hired, my boss went on a month long trip abroad and was out of contact. I successfully managed the office and prepared for upcoming programs.
