About Stephanie Harris-Yee

When I landed my first "real" job at a sandwich shop during high school, my father gave me some advice. "Take initiative. If you've finished your assigned task, pick up a broom and start sweeping. Look for what needs to be done and then do it." This advice served me well then and continues to do so. I am a fan of continuous learning, improvement, and taking the initiative to move forward in both my professional and personal life. I never would have been sent to promote Kirishima National Geopark at a global conference if I had not voluntarily become an expert on local geology and plant life in preparation for interpreting an international tour of the park earlier that year. I most certainly would not have found my passion for marketing if I had not pushed myself to go back to school for an MBA. In my current marketing position, I work with marketing tools like Salesforce, Marketo, Google Analytics, and Search Console. I am currently working on developing my marketing strategy skills and forming both a well-rounded marketing stack of technology and various channel initiatives. I am looking forward to further broadening my skill set and implementing the knowledge I have gained. I believe that by leveraging the skills and experiences we have we can make a difference for the better.
