During my 20+ years of employment at SerVaas Laboratories there have been many changes to help support the growth we continue to experience.Automation has been a positive change that has brought and added value to our business process by streamlining our business process from the moment the order is received (via EDI), shipped (via 7 warehouse locations), and invoiced (via EDI). This project initially started as an idea I shared in a school paper and was shared with executive management team as a way we could not only improve our shipping and receiving area; we could actually streamline our business process utilizing this automation thru order fulfillment, and accounting as well. We have seen a work smarter not harder result and now are expanding this value added process as we begin adding our production area as well as the way we do our cycle counts.Change is not easy and often met with resistance however it is required if we hope to achieve growth and meet the demands of those customers and vendors we partner with.
