Consider the following situation, you have proteins in the form of antibodies keeping you safe from dangerous pathogens but at the same time there are some proteins in your body that can cause you to have deadly neurodegenerative diseases in the form of prions. This fact amazes me every time I think about it. This steered me towards the enormous possibilities that field of biology has.In all aspects of my life, I abide to one important thing: ability to admit ignorance and accepting that "I don't know but I want to know more". I believe that this attitude is the basis for new discoveries and unbiased thinking. The world of cells caught my attention and hence I chose to study Molecular Biology at the University of Michigan, Flint. Currently, I am working under professors who are carrying out research in the field of cell biology and biochemistry at my university. In the coming future, I want to work as a research assistant in fields relating to genetics and molecular biology so that I can gain appropriate skills and experience to excel in my career.
