Understanding human psychology, dealing with people and, talent management are a few areas that have brought me towards having an HR oriented career. Even though the recruitment process has always fascinated me, my current HR program has introduced me to various other aspects of Human Resources Management, which I have learned keenly and feel ready to use in the real world. Courses such as talent management, employment law, health and safety, data analytics, organizational learning and capstone have allowed me to gain a better understanding of the Human Resources field. I have had three years of customer service experience, which has made my communication skills stronger. At the workplace and in school, juggling multiple deadlines at once has helped me develop a deeper understanding of the prioritization of tasks in a fast-paced environment. Volunteering and academic projects in groups have made me an improved team player. My professional experience has helped me become proficient in the recruitment system. I have also developed a good understanding of MS office and current employment legislation through my academic courses. When I am not doing HR stuff, you will usually find me arguing about why Lakers are the best franchise in the history of the NBA.
