Over three months, we work directly with business owners and marketing managers to dig deep into the company’s core and get to the bottom of their point of difference. The result, a thoroughly documented brand strategy set to brief your team and suppliers moving forward. Digital Specialist for Entrepreneurs Program - Strengthening Business

As National PR Manager for Coles Supermarkets, Sharyn handled marketing PR campaigns, public affairs issues, business media management, speech writing plus she managed the company's community relations and philanthropy budgets. Major achievements in this role were:Managing the national extended trading hours campaign, This included government relations, media strategy and corporate affairs. The program resulted in positive front page news and ultimately to the further extension of trading hours in many States and Territories. Negotiated and organised the Apples for the Students "Meet the Stars of Beverley Hills 90210" promotion. This involved flying an entire outback Queensland community to Los Angeles and the promotion won a PRIA Award for excellence. Beginning the Coles Christmas Appeal with the Salvation Army. Implemented the first Easter Bilby campaign in association with the Australian Conservation Foundation. This campaign still raises over $50,000 each year for research into the bilby and its habitat.

At Buchan, Sharyn managed retail accounts such as Mitre 10, Brashs, Pioneer Electronics, Whirlpool Australia and Coles Supermarkets. She also worked with financial clients such as Noble Lowndes Superannuation.Sharyn's role was to advise clients on marketing and public affairs strategies aimed at enhancing and developing their brands. She implemented a range of programs, ranging from new product launches to crisis management plans.

Sharyn began her retail experience in trade journalism and wrote for a wide variety of publications ranging from technical magazines to pharmaceutical publications. Sharyn worked as an A graded journalist and Melbourne correspondent on titles such as Pharmacy Trade, Supermarket News, Counterpoint, Travel Trade and Broadcast Engineering News.This experience introduced Sharyn to most of Melbourne's major managing directors, and gave her a unique insight into strategic planning for a wide variety of companies.
