My educational background of completing my PhD and MSc in Physiology from the premier medical institute of India, AIIMS, with ''Best Post Graduating Student' award apart from obtaining my DSc from Bharathiar University along with my experience of working on various posts from Scientist-C to Distinguished Scientist & Director General , Life Sciences of DRDO makes me suitable to lead any higher educational and research organisation. I have received many prestigious awards during my career. Apart from getting 'Scientist of the Year' award of DRDO, two labs viz. DIHAR and DIPAS of DRDO were adjudged as the best R& D labs in life sciences during my tenure as their Director, and received these awards from the Prime Minister of India. During my tenure as founder-Director of NIPER, Hyderabad, the institute attained the first rank in India in 2023 in Pharmacy category under the NIRF ( National Institutional Ranking Framework) declared by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. I have more than 250 publications in national and international journals, 22 patents to my credit and have successfully commercialised 6 products through technology transfer to the industry. I have supervised 25 PhD students. I am looking forward for a meaningful engagement in the area of education and research.
