Shashi is an alumnus of FORE School Of Management. Prior to this he has done his B.E. in Electronics & Comm from B.I.T. (Bangalore). He has an experience of around 3 years in Infosys Technologies as a software Engineer working for major clients.He has joined TATA Steel as Manager procurement in department of central buying. During his initial years he has looked after the logistics & EPA commercial area.Responsibility- sourcing imported coal & Iron ore, planning & inventory management for different hubs, Perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals and find more profitable suppliers. - Manage a team of purchasing experts that support all procurement needs for all departments within the business. -responsible for managing the end to end procurement process for coal and iron ore requirements of TATA Steel Group.His interests include areas like supply chain management, Procurement , Planning and business development. In the perspective of the professional experience and exposure, Shashi aspires to be an successful leader and has keen interest in socially relevant projects using sustainable business models that could make a difference to the society.Earlier he has also been involved with various NGO’s (Part time).
