My role is called Feature Owner, it is part of the product management and development function within Robert Bosch. In charge of product feature management for Human Machine interface (HMI) for multimedia features like audio playback, Bluetooth connectivity, also features such as navigation guidance and map display. My responsibilities include:• Interfacing with the customer (typically an Auto OEM) for understanding product requirements and their product strategy • Suggesting appropriate feature content from the existing feature library to suit unique customer needs. Developing use cases and user stories for feature usage. Writing UI specification and functional specification document for the engineering team. • Feature Evangelist for adoption of new features in upcoming variants of the OEM’s product line. Liaison between the various departments for “productization” of new features.• Feature planning and versioning of releases. Ensuring engineering resources for the same.• Evaluating change requests and conducting impact analysis with respect to system, quality and delivery.
