Over the course of 3 and half years, I built a team of around 35-40 engineers across all domains backend, frontend and QA.I was heading various pods in Nykaa (User, Product ,Marketing) .Major tasks I worked on:1) Moved services from monolithic to its own microservice architecture to allow individual teams to scale and work independently. We did it with the aim to have zero error and zero downturn which increased the complexity manyfolds.2) Mentored managers/leads so that they take responsibility and act as owner to their modules. I was managing close to 6 engineering managers.3) Architectural decisions on backend and frontend systems so that the systems we are rebuilding have less debt and they can scale to handle load for next 5-10 years.4) Working closely with the product and business team to define high impacting product flows.Technologies we used:React , AWS , Serverless , Java, Python , Google Cloud, Native Apps
