Nader has been passionate about making complex scientific learning easily adoptable by teachers and students alike. Over the last decade he focused specifically on bringing technology innovation into schools, such as Digital Design, Digital Manufacturing, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. This hands-on experience is what he missed as a child growing up.Nader Shaterian is the Co-Founder of Fab Lab Connect and Founder/CEO of School Fab Lab. Advisor and Mentor for Venture Capital Projects in Europe and the United States for Social Good, Art and Education.In 2012, he co-founded Fab Lab Connect in support of global Fab Labs and the Maker Movement, in partnership with Center for Bits and Atoms | MIT Media LabIn 2016, he implemented the first School Fab Lab -Maker Space at Saint Joseph High School in Brooklyn, NY in partnership with Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development | New York University.A Mechanical Engineer by training, Nader worked in the automotive and aerospace industries for 10 years. After receiving his Masters in Information Systems and Management at UC Berkeley in 1997, he spent 30 years in Silicon Valley. Nader excels at building technical teams from the ground up. He held Advisory roles at Cisco, Fujitsu, JP Morgan Chase, Sonic, MARSYS and AT&T.In 2008, Nader started his own company in San Francisco focusing on online marketing with an emphasis on social Media and big Data.
