Since joining the Joint Venture I have been involved specifically in estimating Commercial Reinstatements in and around Christchurch. Varying form full demolition and Rebuild to detailed Repair Estimates / Scope of Works from various sources (Engineering reports, Valuation reports, photographs site reports, visits and inspections). In addition to this I have been heavily involved in standardising our deliverables to ensure continuity and accuracy. Recently I have been involved with working with a small team of Project Managers to deal with properties on a ‘rapid assessment’ basis to fast track settlements and reduce expenditure for our client and also maximise pay outs to claimants against sum insured.

Sheffield Design & Project Management provides a complete range of building and engineering services to local government clients. During my employment I had worked on a wide ranging spectrum of projects from inception to completion, that has encompassed education, social housing, office accommodation, health facilities, public parks and sports facilities. These projects have used both the JCT and NEC suites of contract to suit a range of procurement strategies. I have acted as the Project Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager on schemes ranging from $100,000 to $45 million. My responsibilities included cost planning and estimating, bill of quantities production, project management, value engineering, programme management, contractor negotiation and valuation package preparation.
