Shaun Devitt is the Director of Sterilization Engineering at Kymanox. With a focus on sterilization and sterility maintenance, he has over a decade of experience in process and product development of combination products and medical devices. He has extensive experience in establishing and qualifying sterilization processes for new products, from method selection and materials evaluation through validations and routine process establishment. He has worked on both standard and novel applications of all standard sterilization methods (steam, irradiation, ethylene oxide) and novel methods (hydrogen peroxide, nitrogen dioxide, UV, x-ray, dry heat, etc.) He has designed and qualified effective sterile packaging for a wide range of medical products. Shaun has a track record of practical innovation, developing novel solutions to significant challenges to sterilization and sterility assurance that have been proven to meet commercial and regulatory standards.He is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and is AAMI-Certified as an Industrial Sterilization Specialist in Ethylene Oxide and Radiation.
