The role was a short term contract lasting 4 months.Covering a large portfolio of branches from Nottingham down tothe SW and into Cornwall and across the SE inclusive of London.I actively liaised with branch managers reviewing branch FireRisk Assessments, tracking actions to a satisfactory closure. Monitored and reviewed all compliance requirements from Gas, electrical, Fire, legionella, Asbestos etc. and reviewed the health, safety andwelfare of all branch operatives.I also carried out CDM SHE Inspections on site, ensuring all policies and procedures were being adhered too and the site was both safe and secure. I would also be called outto investigate serious incidents such as a dangerous occurrence,fire incident or an incident involving time off work.

South West Uk

I provided “knowledge expert” advice on the HSAWA and Management of Health and Safety at Work and Fire Safety to the board, directors and senior managers. I also collaborated and liaised with othercolleagues within Aster Group to ensure common policies, procedures and targets and that Health, Safety and Fire Safety was an integrated function within the organisation as a whole. I produced and presented quarterly reports to the board and would regularly produce gap analysis on risks across the business. I also introduced the business to a H&S Survey/Questionnaire commonly known asthe Safety Climate Tool, allowing the business to gain a clearly understanding of the current safety culture within the Group.Following a successful bid to growthe team my next achievement was the successful implementation of an innovated easy to use flexible SHE Software management System. One of the success stories for the team was to integrate FRA's into the safety management software, tracking all past FRA actions and closing them out. A real success for Fire Safety within the group and the safety team.

I managed a team of 14 personnel, implementing and maintaininga SHE Management System for office, Warehouses and 500+shops spread across the UK and Ireland, providing monthlyreports to the board on the status of health and safety, fire riskassessments, audits and all incidents. I investigated, whereappropriate, insurance liability claims and worked closely with thecompliance and property teams to close out all fire related actionsraised on the FRA. I would also carryout desk top studies on newpremises to ensure appropriate health, safety and fire safetyhad been considered

Operating as a Process Safety Engineer in a small multi-skilled team within a Research and Development Unit based in Kaisten, Switzerland. Duties included the safe running of the plant, site Audits and inspections, design and installation works and development of a Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule.

As Project Manager at NELC I was part of a team of skilled Project Managers assigned the task of rejuvenating the schools within the borough. My first development consisted of coming up with a suitable design and build solution following strict guidelines set out by Partnerships for Schools (PFS). The scheme had a value of 21.5 million pounds. The project was completed on time, on budget with all quality assurance criteria being met as set-out in the business case. My role at P&G was predominantly Health, Safety and Quality Assurance covering a multitude of projects. The position incorporated CDM Coordinator duties; health and safety advice to senior management; health and safety inspections monitoring several sites and establishing appropriate auditing programmes; accident investigations as and when required. The quality assurance responsibilities consisted of evidence gathering; recording the quality of a product at various stages of a project and; lessons learned process review whereby capturing and communicating appropriate information at the right time and to the right people; closeout works with a comprehensive quality handover process to the client, incorporating the Health and Safety File.
