I was responsible for the day to day running of a team of 12 instructors who not only delivered training to the London Fire Brigade but also responded to operational incidents. As well as managing the team my role was to ensure that a very busy USAR training schedule was delivered to both Fire Fighters and Senior Officers of the London Fire Brigade, as well as other blue light agencies.

Watch Manager with the London Fire Brigade. My operational role is to provid technical and tactical advise to Senior Officers on the incident ground.Course Director responsible for the London Fire Brigades 36 hour USAR Exercise. A real time, realistic, multi-agency exercise held over 36 hours with as many as up to 90 personnel attending.

I served for 12 years with the Brigade of Guards carrying out various tours of duty in various locations throughout the world. My last two years of service were spent instructing infantry soldiers, not only at the Guards Depot but also in Kuwait, Belize, Hungary and France (working closely with local interpreters).
