I have mostly worked with NodeJs, Apache Druid, AWS, Datadog monitoring and metric/log management, Terraform, Git and a variety of test frameworks. Last year I quickly ramped up and learned enough Scala to update a CPA automation app to adhere to new privacy standards. I also have experience with Python, Ruby, and Bash. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from a classical liberal arts college and followed that with two years of teaching at a high-performing charter academy. After discontinuing teaching as a full-time career, I discovered a passion for software development. I now work as a full-stack software developer for Catalyte, a company that recruits and trains developers based on intrinsic talent, not pedigree and unconscious bias. I started as Software Developer 1 and was promoted early to Software Developer 3 in recognition of my performance on client. I have been retained for over two and a half years on the same client engagement at Charter Communications. The Charter team I work with provides real-time data using Apache Druid as part of a big data pipeline and providing access to data from Druid by means of a Nodejs api. Most recently I led an effort to update an application to meet new Data Privacy standards. I have been recognized for my leadership skills in three projects I have worked on recently at Charter Communications. When I am in any type of leadership role, my top priority is team transparency and open communication of needs and challenges.I look forward to continuing in this career field where I can apply my natural talents and thrive on learning and working in a team environment.
