Serves as the Deputy Command Inspector General for the Connecticut National Guard, a Joint Force level headquarters consisting of 5000+ soldiers, airmen, and civilians. Serves as an advisor and an extension of the eyes, ears, voice, and conscience of The Adjutant General, providing acontinuing assessment on the state of the economy, efficiency, discipline, training, morale, esprit de corps, and combat readiness of the Command. Coordinates and promotes an inspection program that provides a full-service evaluation of operational, administrative, and logistical effectiveness per applicable statutes and regulations. Properly conducts inquiries into complaints and thoroughly investigates all claims of impropriety, fraud, waste, and abuse. Is accurate, impartial, fair, and steadfast in the course of all duties.

Plans, controls and executes operations and training for the Headquarters of the 143rd Area Support Group (RSG), a major command element of the Connecticut Army National Guard, encompassing over 1,000 Soldiers. Oversaw the development, planning, and execution of all training requirements of all four subordinate battalions including Yearly Training Calendars, Individual Soldier Readiness Training, Range Operations, for four Battalions within the RSG. Coordinated and led efforts of the development of the headquarter unit's major training initiative, consisting of strategic planning, movement, execution, and recovery operations. Supervised staff section reportable for daily operations of all 87 Full Time members of the Regiment throughout four Battalions, all geographically dispersed throughout the State. Prepared, published, and distributed detailed plans which support execution of policies and strategy. Prepared and conducted training briefings to Senior Level Leaders on status, development, execution, and results of all training events throughout the year. Assessed both training needs derived from the units assigned Mission Essential Task List, and regulatory training requirements of the RSG and prepared and supervised training to support those needs and requirements. Established the composition of forces required to support training, plans, and accomplish missions. Ensured forces were qualified, prepared, andproperly equipped to meet mission requirements for both training and State emergency operations.
