I am a political scientist, applied data scientist and survey researcher. As Principal at Accent Research, I work with clients to study how the public thinks and behaves, what influences their beliefs and actions, and ways to engage with them. I have conducted research for national political campaigns, NGOs, trade unions and corporate clients, providing them with the information they need to develop strategy, allocate campaign resources, and make well-informed decisions.I was previously Director of Data Science at YouGov, where I was responsible for leading a team working on complex social and political research projects.In addition to my commercial and political work, I am an Honorary Associate at the University of Sydney, where I was a Lecturer in political science from 2017-22 (at the US Studies Centre), and where I continue to teach data science (in the School of Computer Science).I regularly engage in public discussions on politics and public opinion.
