When the contract that supported the ITAC project ended, Kier made the commitment to continue with a data function in the form of the Data Science Centre. As such, we were tasked with the transition from the SQL platform to the Azure Cloud platform. I was personally responsible for re-creating the OCA process from the ITAC function within the Azure Databrick function, which I completed and was placed into a trial run within the Area 3 and 4 maintenance contracts. I was also tasked with developing additional tools for use, including proof of concept models for a data comparison tool using the QGIS and ArcEnterprise Geospatial analysis tools.

The Intelligent Technology Asset Centre (ITAC) was set up to identify methods of leveraging data analysis techniques in the identification and prediction of faults on roadside technology associated to the Strategic Road Network (SRN), the major road network of the England which includes the Motorways and Major A ‘roads.To achieve this the ITAC developed a dataset to support a predictive model. I was personally responsible for developing the data model (referred to as the OCA process) using the Microsoft SQL Server software, creating an ETL process using SQL Server Integrated Services, including Stored Procedures written using SQL Server Management Services.Beyond this, we were tasked to develop other tools, reporting or analysis that would support the business.

This required high levels of Objection Handling, i.e., dealing with difficult and abusive customers politely and reasonably, whilst maintaining company operational procedures and policies
As part of this role I was responsible for assisting in the training and continual development of Credit Control advisors as well as being responsible for assisting in a drive for agent quality, improved customer experience and improved business practices within the Credit Control environment. As a requirement of this role, I completed the in house Management Training Scheme
