Working at HGCI gave me the opportunity to create projects from the architectural side and manage projects from the construction side. Being able to do both industries allowed me to foresee issues as a construction project manager and gave me a different perspective on how to approach architecture and construction all together. Managing projects on either side became crucial and valuable lessons helped develop methods to keeping projects moving forward no matter what issue arose. While at Studio G Architects Inc. I was part of a design/drafting team that developed clean, well designed high end Tenant Improvements. I developed initial concepts for existing buildings and their urban connection,entry procession, lobby design and overall building TI updates. The following were my tasks at Studio G Architects:- Created Schematic designs for clients and worked through all architectural stages until construction was complete;- Worked with clients to choose all project materials, colors and furniture;- Created pricing sets for general contractors to bid from;- Created full construction drawings for permit;- Worked closely with Structural engineers, Landscape architects and city officials;- Construction Administration - Answered RFI's, submittals, site visits, verified construction process.

Worked closely with SPPD students teaching Adobe CS5, Sketch Up and Rhino programs in a classroom. Individual follow up meetings with students to work through program design methods and general program methods to further their understanding.

I lead a team that designed, contracted and built a basement set for a graduate film "The Couple Downstairs," in the Peter Stark Producing Program. As project leader, designer and construction manager I taught 4th and 5th year architecture students typical wood framing, hanging drywall and finishing for a non-structural film set. The film set included the construction of several rooms with drywall, doors, flooring, trim, paint and bracing to existing structure within the Spielberg/Lucas sound/audio sets.
