I am passionate (obsessed?) about personalized learning, educational choice and freedom, educational technology, lifelong learning, and helping others, especially those who are marginalized, find success on their educational journeys.I have served and supported teachers and families as an administrator at South Sutter Charter School, a personalized learning public charter school in California for over 16 years. Before that, I lived in Vermont and taught high school English. With my background in public education and homeschooling, I am able to straddle both worlds, offering families as much or as little support as needed in whatever setting works best for their kids and their family.I am well versed in:-Every educational philosophy (from Unschooling to Classical and everything in between)-All subjects for all grade levels (TK to 12th grade) and the curricula to accompany them-State and national standards for every state-Curricula choices for all of the above to execute a completely personalized learning experience-Technology and all things edtechMy husband and I live in the greater Sacramento area, and we homeschool our 6 kids on and off (depending on their needs and choice and our family capacity for it - it changes every year!)
