I am responsible for program management and maintenance. I am also responsible for the Project Read office, personnel, activities, and services. I fulfill these responsibilities by doing the following:1. Securing Funding, including writing grant proposals;2. Budgeting;3. Decision making, including setting and implementing policies and procedures after consultation with and approval from the Board of Trustees, and general office management (including supervising office personnel);4. Reporting, including compiling and analyzing statistical information;5. Overseeing public relations effort, including an ongoing public awareness campaign for Project Read and the local literacy effort;6. Developing and maintaining community partnerships, including actively networking with surrounding communities to provide literacy training, coordinating and developing outreach sites, and working closely with other service agencies in Utah County and other adult literacy programs;

The mission of Utah Nonprofits Association is to strengthen the Utah nonprofit community by: * Strengthening the quality of nonprofit leadership and management. * Enhancing the effectiveness of nonprofit organizations. * Promoting greater understanding of the role and impact of nonprofit organizations. * Encouraging networking and cooperative efforts among nonprofit organizations.
