My background lies in the arts; I have been writing creatively from a young age, and this passion has only grown as I've gotten older. I studied English and History in my Undergraduate degree, and went on to do my Masters in Film Studies where I critically analysed film and television, completing a 15,000 word thesis on the female gaze in modern television. I did many other courses in between my two degrees, covering screenwriting, acting, creative writing, and computer skills. I have two diplomas, one which I carried out during Covid lockdown in Journalism with Online Public Relations, and the other is a professional diploma in Content Writing for Marketing, which I completed in 2023 while working full-time. I have received marks of distinction for both diploma courses.I have worked within the Office of Public Works since 2016: first as a tour guide in one of their busiest attractions - Kilmainham Gaol Museum, and then as the assistant manager of their newest heritage offering - Custom House Visitor Centre.I am currently part of a new marketing and promotion team within the OPW, which also allows me to bring my passion for writing into my professional life, as well as travel the world to promote the beautiful heritage the OPW has to offer to international markets.
