I have spent the last two-and-a-half decades as a visual impact expert. I am a highly skilled graphic designer, project manager, and research aficionado. Whether it is developing a logo and brand identity for a real estate broker or new community, writing content and collateral for sales materials and development website, developing captivating materials and a system for follow-up, organizing spreadsheets, creating a signage plan, or even coordinating a big project such as a builder upgrade package or writing a financing proposal for a developer, I love the challenge and the opportunity to weave a story from a broker or builder’s vision that captivates buyers and potential clients. As a Whatcom County community member concerned about housing affordability and making sure everyone has a roof over their head, I have become an advocate for the building of “gentle density” by way of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). I love educating homeowners and investors on the benefits of adding one – or two! – to their properties either to rent and/or house other friends or family members. In addition, I am an accredited ADU Specialist through EarthAdvantage. As a REALTOR®, I can assist in the buying or selling of a property with an ADU or one with ADU potential. I am also very involved in community organizations including the Rotary Club of Bellingham in which I currently serve as the Membership Committee chair, I have taken the lead in PR for the Club, I serve on the Youth Exchange program, and have a leading role in the Club’s website. Professionally, I have served on the Visual Communications Advisory Committee for Whatcom Community College’s graphic arts program since 2009, and I have volunteered my time, helping shape the design curriculum for tomorrow’s design community. I serve as president for my investment property HOA which I overhauled, creating new transparent systems and processes. I also serve on the Building Industry Association of Whatcom County and Whatcom County Association of REALTORS® Government Affairs committees as well as the Whatcom Housing Alliance Task Force.
