The urban core of Kansas City, Missouri is where I have spent the previous six years in education, teaching math to a diverse population of students ranging in grades 6 through 9. In those six years I spent the first 3 teaching in a whole-classroom setting. During my 4th year teaching I transitioned to virtual education where I became a proficient user of Google Classroom and Zoom. I finished my 4th year virtually and began my fifth and sixth year back in the classroom. I have also spent the last 10 months privately tutoring students in mathematics, fifth grade standards through geometry.
