About Shauna Donaldson

Psychology graduate with the passion to thrive in a clinical environment. Recently accepted post of Assistant Psychologist with the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Psychological Trauma service. Precvious experience working with adult survivors of childhood trauma providing guided self help sessions to help clients recognise and understand the symptoms of trauma and identify meaningful personal goals and how to work towards them. Recently completed a unique culturally sensitive and specialised MSc in Global Mental Health at the University of Glasgow which encompasses a human rights approach to mental health care across the globe. A broad range of knowledge in psychological areas such as; child development, neuropsychology, executive functions across the lifespan,individual differences and abnormal psychology. I volunteered for 3 months in Sri Lanka working in various clinical settings such as the National Institute of Mental Health providing culturally sensitive and appropriate care. Here I was inspired to work in the field of trauma after seeing first hand survivors inherent strengths and resilience and being part of their recovery journey.
