CYBER-SECURITY: I am very effective at learning new systems and applications and developing training materials and presentations for new users. Interpreting technical manuals and administrative guides, I am able to create new training programs. Additionally, with my passion for learning, I constantly research and study related information to enhance my understanding and technical knowledge to fulfill the role as subject matter expert.SECURITY/PROTECTION: To ensure my effectiveness, I have continually sought out knowledge and experience to remain both vigilant and forward leaning. My experience from the Air Force exposed me to National and Industrial Security, as well as Anti-Terrorism. In the private sector, I realized the threats weren’t necessarily as dire, but were abundant and diverse. I became knowledgeable in law, EEOC, Property Liability, Security and Tort law. I also, learned the aspects of health, fire and building codes as well as becoming well informed on local, state and federal ordinances, regulations and statutes. LOSS PREVENTION: I have developed an adversarial perspective to security over my career; an outside-in viewpoint. To determine the how, what and why vulnerabilities become exploited. This is one reason why I have spent the last several months studying cyber-security. PROBLEM SOLVER: I am the most content and happy when I am helping an organization or person solve problems. Throughout my career(s) that is when I achieve the ultimate job satisfaction; not from the recognition, but because I am good at it. And I enjoy being the “go-to” person, so I strive to gain new knowledge and expertise whenever necessary.
