Led Product Management, Corporate Development and Business Development at a seed-stage startup developing single-cell DNA sequencing technology. Performed market research to identify and prioritize target markets, understand customer needs, define product requirements, and refine corporate strategy. Partnered with the CEO to seek strategic investment and acquisition by developing overall strategy, authoring and presenting pitch decks, financial models, and other assets and managing partner diligence.

Singleron acquired Proteona in March 2022. Post integration I led product management and business development activities for the Singapore-based single-cell multi-omics analysis services business, including acting as a key account manager for multiple top 20 Pharma accounts.

Proteona was a Singapore-based 15-person VC-funded startup that provided biomarker discovery services using a combination of single-cell and machine-learning technologies. At Proteona I led multiple functions including Product Management, Marketing, Corporate Strategy, and Business Development. As a Marketeer, I helped the founders update the corporate strategy to refocus on diagnostics, executed a complete corporate rebrand including development of a new website, developed materials to support Series A funding, and defined product offerings including developing positioning, messaging, sales enablement tools and pricing. On the business development side, I led contracting and negotiations for sales deals to academic and Top20 Pharma customers, also acting as the key account manager for these accounts. I also led contracting for other types of agreements including collaboration, co-marketing, and supply agreements. Proteona was acquired by Singleron Biotechnologies in March 2022.

Head of the microfluidics franchise, representing roughly 40% of the company’s revenue. Direct management of up to 6 reports responsible for portfolio and product strategy, market development, product management, and business development. Key highlights include launching the company's first clinical test (for SARS-CoV-2), acting as the deal lead for a major potential acquisition, and leading the team that developed and closed Fluidigm's OEM agreement with Olink.

Led product management for all microfluidics instruments, consumables, and software. Launched multiple new applications on the C1 instrument, implemented platform support for new genomics applications, supported portfolio lifecycle management activities including cost reduction projects, and partnered with top customers on custom application development.

Team leader responsible for the Revolocity high-throughput automated and integrated platform for whole genome (WGS) and whole exome sequencing (WES). Oversaw all aspects of Revolocity product and service strategic planning, development, commercialization, and launch. Revolocity was a beast of a product: multiple instruments (DNA extraction, library preparation, flow cell loading, sequencing), applications, reagents, consumables, instrument software, laboratory information management software, and data analysis tools including read alignment, variant calling and variant comparison.
