I represent business entities, including insurance and financial services companies, in class action and other high-impact litigation throughout the country, predicated on a variety of state and federal common law and statutory-based theories of liability. In addition to such formal litigation efforts, I routinely counsel clients in connection with efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate potential litigation and regulatory risks associated with potential business activities, including those relevant to the development, marketing, sale, and administration of insurance and financial products.

I have more than a decade of service on the Board of Directors for Sasha Bruce Youthwork (SBY) – a non-profit organization that, through a dozen residential and community programs, seeks to make youth homelessness brief, non-recurring and ultimately non-existent – including my current service as Board Chair. Among other efforts in furtherance of my fiduciary duties, I provide strategic oversight of the Board’s standing committees – Audit, Executive, Finance, Fundraising, Governance, Nominating, and Real Estate – and ad hoc committees, including Strategic Planning. I also serve as an ambassador for fundraising and other corporate and individual donor partnership development and public and private stakeholder relationship management, including through public speaking engagements.

My litigation career and focus on the representation of insurance and financial services companies commenced at Jorden Burt LLP. For 15 years, first as an associate and, beginning in 2007, as a partner, I represented clients in class action and other high-impact litigation throughout the country, as well as in connection with dispute resolution efforts, including the representation of clients in arbitration and mediation proceedings, and routinely counseled clients in connection with efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate potential litigation risks associated with potential business activities relevant to the development, marketing, sale, and administration of insurance and financial products. Among other leadership and management responsibilities, I was a Vice-Chair of the industry group devoted to the firm's principal client base, Jorden Burt's Life Insurance Industry Group, and served on Jorden Burt’s Investment Committee, which was charged with providing oversight to the management of the firm’s Savings & Investment (401k) Plan.
