One aspect of being an Employment Specialist includes conducting a Discovery report about a given client. - The Discovery process includes gathering all background information about the client including: employment history, educational history, interests, skills, talents, goals, and any type of criminal history. - Discovery also includes setting up informational interviews with the client and an employer, observing and documenting the client do specific vocational tasks, gathering information about the client from family and friends, and then taking all the above information above and writing it into a report to turn into the OVRS office.
