Worked as part of a cross-functional team that provides operational support and coordination between Carnival UK, P&O Cruises and Cunard fleet. Daily duties include but are not limited to;-Monitoring current and future cruise programmes providing situational awareness to the business and acting as a central area of coordination for operational issues, incident coordination and managing the impact of deviations from the operational/business plan.-Coordinating issues which are wide ranging including impacts of operational, technical as well as geo-political issues.-Responsible for bringing together the relevant operational stakeholders both ship and shore to support any event/incidents.-Act as central point of contact and support for both ship and shore teams. monitor and then manage situations utilising the relevant stakeholders providing overall management of any event. Working outside usually business hours where necessary to support the fleet.-Creation/ delivery of operational/crisis contingency plans, highlighting any key risks to relevant stakeholders.-Lead daily operational meetings for business-wide awareness-Close liaison with the on-call crisis teams-Chairing meetings with stakeholder groups including Covid response, AGE outbreak, Flight disruption plans, emergency itinerary deviations and any other events as required for maintaining and/or improving operations.-Conduct business wide coordination’s solo outside of business hours (weekend duties)-Manage, organise and maintain the certificate database as required for the safe operation of the fleet, ensuring all relevant certification is renewed where necessary in good time.

Third Engineering Officer- Accountable for the operation, inspection and maintenance of engines, machinery and a variety of equipment whilst ensuring optimal safety and efficiency. - Provide rigorous monitoring and control of engine machinery and equipment, identifying and troubleshooting all issues to ensure rapid and comprehensive resolution. - Operate machinery under the direction of the Senior Engineer Office On Watch (SEOOW), ensuring full compliance with internal, health & safety and regulatory requirements. - Coordinate and perform a wide range of maintenance activities and maintain clear and accurate documentation via the maintenance management system in alignment with the relevant policies and procedures. - Immediately report all machinery or equipment damage, malfunction or defects to management. - Contribute to handover briefing, communicating all key information in a clear and effective manner. - Support the SEEOW in guiding and overseeing the watchkeeping crew and conducting training and providing performance evaluations for the engineer crew. - Support the delivery of financial goals through contributions to cost management and cost control activity. - Accountable for performing Emergency Response Organisation duties as required.

Engineering Officer Cadet - Completed three months on the Maersk Lins followed by six months on the Maersk Leon, containing large direct drive two stroke B&W ME-C engines. Received rigorous training as an Understudy to the fourth and third Engineers and performed a range of maintenance tasks under their supervision. - Contributed to the overhaul of the main engines, including the change of the piston and cylinder liner.
