Founded Manchester-based Telcom in 2014 and led the business as CEO from nothing to over 250 employees and £20,000,000 in revenue. Before Telcom, a snapshot from 2014 👇Co-founder of ‘Tech Britain’ a social enterprise that launched in 2012 and was the first resource to comprehensively map out the United Kingdom's tech startup ecosystem. Our initial aim through mapping the United Kingdom was to highlight and promote entrepreneurial communities around the country. Tech Britain is currently working towards streamlining access for entrepreneurs to financial support and improving engagement within entrepreneurial clusters based upon Brad Feld's Boulder thesis. With the support of Tech City we endeavor to contribute towards making the whole of the United Kingdom one of the key tech ecosystems and thus destinations in the world. Since Tech Britain's inception, I have become an Advisor to the University of Manchester & Number 10 Downing Street through my work as a founding member of the UK Business and Technology Cluster Summit Group, along with Joanna Shields and the heads of the various clusters from around the United Kingdom. In addition to my work with Tech Britain, I was co-founder and COO of the first TechHub outside of London (in the UK) TechHub Manchester. The co-working space now known as SpaceportX was opened in November 2012 and is now the defacto hub of entrepreneurial activity in the United Kingdom's second city.Over the past 15 months I've been working towards the unveiling of a new project in Manchester called 'IndustryX' which will not only see Manchester take a stride towards becoming a top 5 European startup destination but will help to reinvigorate the North and tie together the key Northern cities. IndustryX will build upon our work to support, grow and develop Manchester's organic startup community over the past 18 months. In 2014 I'll be truly practicing what I preach again and will be continuing the entrepreneurial journey started under extreme circumstances back in 2008...Big believer in giving and helping others, so if i can be of help I will! You only need ask
